
Securing the network is the top priority for 34% of CIOs
Recent analysis by Extreme Networks revealed that Chief Information Officers (CIOs) are primarily focused on the convergence of networking and security, despite the buzz around AI in the tech industry.
The report showed that 34% of CIOs prioritize securing the network, while 22% focus on integrating networking and security. Protecting the network against potential threats ranked high for 57% of respondents.
When selecting a networking vendor, 55% of respondents prioritize built-in security. Additionally, 96% believe that the network is crucial for a strong cybersecurity and risk management strategy.
Eighty-four percent of respondents have begun integrating AI into their technology stack, with data security as a top concern for 40%. Challenges during AI implementation included network bandwidth issues for 49% and lack of guidance and training for 30% of respondents.
Despite the investment in AI, 32% of respondents have not seen significant ROI or efficiency improvements post-implementation. For more insights, read the full report.
